 Flooding still poses a great threat. Is New York city prepared for it? I believe new York city is doing the best they can preparing flood damages. In the Times article Navaro writes "the transit agency to spent $34 million on improvements like raising some ventilation grates nine inches above sidewalks and building steps that head upward, before descending, at flood-prone stations" (Navaro).
